Kandhkot Additional Session Judge Muhammad Ali Qureshi had a narrow escape when some unknown armed assailants opened fire on his car at the Khanpur Indus Highway near Shikarpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Fortunately, the judge escaped unharmed, according to police reports.
The police stated that the armed men attempted to stop the judge's car with the intent to rob, but Judge Qureshi managed to speed away, thwarting their plans. The judge's swift action ensured his safety during the harrowing encounter.
Upon receiving reports of the gunfire, a police contingent rushed to the scene, but the suspects managed to flee.
The police have initiated a manhunt, setting up checkpoints and conducting thorough searches to apprehend the culprits.
