Govt approves 55 more flights to bring back 10,000 Pakistanis

The government on Monday announced operating 55 more flights to bring back 10,000 Pakistanis stranded abroad from June 11 to June 15.
According to the plan issued by Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resources Development, PIA will operate 34 flights, Emirates Airline will fly 9 planes, Qatar Airways to operate 5 flights and Saudia Airline to fly 4 flights during the above said period to repatriate Pakistanis. A Sri Lankan airline will also fly to Pakistan. The flights will come from UAE, Saudi Arabia, America, UK, Australia, Malaysia, Oman and Kirgizstan.
The flights will land at various airports in Pakistan including Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Karachi and Multan.
Moeed Yusuf on May 30 said that they had brought back 33,000 Pakistanis to home from 60 countries since April this year.
