Children faint at Islamabad school due to intense heat

Several children fainted at a school in the Malpur area of Islamabad on Wednesday due to power outages in intense heat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Government Federal School administration had to pour water on their heads after blood started to ooze out of their noses.

Despite the fact that a complaint was made to WAPDA, but the power supply to the school could not be restored till last reports came in.

However, later the children were sent back to their homes after the provision of first aid.

Meanwhile, various parts of the federal capital continue to experience power breakdowns due to excessive heat, making everybody, including students, traders and government servants worried.

The situation is no different in Lahore either as students have started falling sick in the city too as temperatures have crossed 42 degrees Celsius in different parts of Punjab, forcing students and their parents to demand immediate start of summer vacations.

On the other hand, students are facing water shortage due to less number of water filtration plants at schools.

Meanwhile, a child had fainted at a school in Sheikh Munaf Kali Sherpao area of Charsadda on Tuesday as intense heat continues to grip the country, including several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to reports, the school administration did not even bother to shift the child to a hospital, leaving his classmates with no other option but to pour water over his face.
