Iman Mazari’s interim bail extended until June 20

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Athar Minallah on Thursday extended the interim bail of advocate Iman Zainab Mazari Hazir till June 20 in a case related to abusing and defaming the senior command of the Pakistan Army, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
IHC CJ inquired from the lawyer of JAG Branch (Judge Advocate General) of Pakistan Armed forces, “What has been left behind after the last hearing of the case and the answer she (Iman Mazari) submitted in the Court.”
The IHC CJ said that JAG Branch lawyer could see himself that whether it could be categorised as an offence.
Additional Attorney General said that the reason that has been given by Ms Mazari was not in accordance with the record.
Iman Mazari, daughter of former human rights minister and PTI leader Shirin Mazari, appeared before the court along with her lawyer Zainab Janjua.
The IHC CJ said that her statement was on the basis of misunderstanding.
The court has directed the plaintiff JAG Branch to present arguments after reading the answer of Iman Mazari given in the court.
The case hearing has been adjourned till June 20.
