Police in Peshawar on Saturday registered a case against Assistant Commissioner Peshawar Sumaira Saba Ali and her husband Qadeer in connection with an attempt on the life of PTI leader Ali Zaman Advocate, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Soon after the attack, the PTI leader was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.
In the FIR registered on the complaint of the victim, the latter alleged that Saba and her husband were involved in the attack on his life.
Several sections, including those related to terrorism and attempted murder, were inserted in the case.
Ali Zaman Advocate, who was also a PTI candidate for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly seat PK-73 in the February 8 general elections, had come under attack last night, while AC Sumaira was a returning officer in the constituency.
