Thieves shoot to kill a 25-year-old youth in the limits of Satyana Police Station Jaranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The incident took place in 89-GB Jhugian area of Satyana police station.
According to police the thieves entered in a tent with the intention of stealing where the young man named Nasir was sleeping who got up on noise and resisted the thieves.
Police said that due to the direct firing of the accused, the young man received bullet injuries and was shifted to Rural Health Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
As soon as the information was received, DSP Jardanwala and SHO Satyana reached the spot.
Further action is being taken, police said.
