Former federal minister and PTI leader Zartaj Gul has been nominated as Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) parliamentary leader in the National Assembly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a post uploaded on X platform by SIC-PTI leader Omar Ayub on Saturday, Zain Qureshi and Ahmad Chattha were also nominated as deputy parliamentary leaders in the National Assembly.
Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan had given his consent to the appointments.
The PTI has proposed four names for the slot of parliamentary leader in the National Assembly which included Zartaj Gul, Sahibzada Mahboob Sultan, Zain Qureshi and Ahmad Chattha.
Meanwhile, a district and sessions judge in Gujranwala on Saturday extended the interim bails of PTI leaders Zartaj Gul, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub and Ahmad Chattha until July 8.
All the leaders were present in the court as the district and sessions judge heard the case as anti-terrorism court judge was on leave.
