Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has raised the demand for a free and fresh election, sources said on Monday.
In his virtual address to the PDM meeting, Nawaz said the anti-government should go on, according to insiders.
They cited the ex-PM as saying that the reason for the formation of PDM was not to come into power but to end the role of the establishment in politics.
The PML-N rule is not the objective; he said adding that the PDM will decide which of the party will form a government and the name of the premier.
He said the PDM is slipping away from its objective a called for concerted efforts to achieve the target.
The sources said as Bilawal Bhutto sought Nawaz help bring a no-trust move to Punjab Assembly, Nawaz said such steps are not the PDM objective. The PDM is not aimed at in-house change, he said. The JUI chief seconded Nawaz Sharif.
