The security forces killed 10 terrorists and injured three in intelligence-based operations in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, ISPR said on Sunday.

Four terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation on 8 March and another four in the follow-up op, the military media wing said.

It added two terrorists were killed and another three injured when the troops thwarted their bid to enter Pak territory from Afghanistan.

Pakistani authorities have been asking the Interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management to prevent terrorists' infiltration into Pak territory.

The Pak forces are determined to protect its frontiers and fight terrorists.
