Pakistan imports 10.19m coronavirus vaccine doses so far

Pakistan has, so far, imported some 10.19 million coronavirus vaccine doses.
According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 10.19 million doses of different vaccines including Sinopharm, Sinovac, and CanSino have been received in the country.
As per details, 1.23 million doses of AstraZeneca received on Saturday in Islamabad while one million doses of Sinovac will be land on May 9. One million doses of Sinovac will arrive on May 13 and 15 while another 1.5 million doses of the same vaccine are expected by the end of May 2021.
NCOC urged all citizens especially senior citizens of 60 years plus age to get vaccinated as a priority. 60 years and above are most vulnerable to disease.
Pakistan has administered at least 3.32 million doses of COVID vaccines so far.
According to the adviser to the PM on health affairs Dr. Faisal Sultan, Pakistan was set to receive another 13.2 million doses of coronavirus vaccine by the end of June. He said that 90% of these doses have been purchased, whereas the remaining donated.
The country, he added, has placed orders for a total of 30 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, including the 13.2 million, to different companies.
