Pakistan is on its way to becoming a polio-free country. Thanks to the polio workers.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the sewage water of all four provinces is found poliovirus-free. The sewage water samples had been collected from 60 different points across the country from April 8 to 23. After testing, it was found that all sewerage water is polio-free.
As per details, the samples had been collected from Machar Colony, Khaseemo Goth Karachi, Sukkur, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, DG Khan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Qila Abdullah, Loralai, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshehra, Bannu and other areas.
A polio eradication campaign was launched after the first wave of coronavirus in the country.
The last year’s last polio case was surfaced in November. During the current year, only one case was found in Qila Abdullah.
