Blasphemer gets death in Rawalpindi

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has sentenced to death a convict of blasphemy in Rawalpindi, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

The court of Malik Ijaz Asif pronounced Muhammad Ibtisam Al-Mustafa as a convict.

He was booked under the Cyber Crimes Act on August 3, 2018.

The court sentenced him to death under Section 295C and imposed a Rs5 million fine.

He got life in jail under Section 295B, 10-year rigorous imprisonment under Section 295A, five-year rigorous imprisonment under the anti-terrorism act, and 7-year RI under the PICA act.
