Qari Abdul Kabir, a resident of Pattoki, Kasur finally reunited with his family in Bangladesh after 37 years with the help of social media, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a report, Abdul Kabir left Bangladesh 37 years ago to earn a livelihood for his poor family. He first reached India and later arrived in Pakistan where he unluckily lost his travel documents.
After the loss of his documents, Kabir reached Pattoki in district Kasur where he started living there by becoming a prayer leader in a local mosque of the area.
With the help of social media, Kabir succeeded in making telephone contact with his family in Bangladesh.
Later, the Bangladeshi government sponsored his return to Dhaka where Kabir was warmly welcomed by his sons, wife, daughters and nieces.
While reaching Dhaka, Qari Abdul Kabir thanked Pakistan for the hospitality and raised slogans in favour of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
