Outspoken Sher Afzal Marwat has borne the brunt of passing remarks against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported Wednesday.
According to sources, Marwat was ousted from the core and political committees – hours after criticizing the PTI leadership. They said he was too removed from the WhatsApp group.
PTI founder Imran Khan Sher is too unhappy with him, the insiders said.
Marwat felt hard done-by over the Public Accounts Committee chairmanship nomination.
He was too unhappy with the party leaders over the removal of his brother from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet.
Talking to the media, he said his ‘agenda’ was over and according to him, the PTI was a ‘dead horse’ when he joined it.
He said he revived the party when the other leaders went into hiding.
“My agenda was to secure the release of Imran Khan,” he said, adding that he did not want to contest the general election but did so on the instruction of Imran Khan.
He said he was unwilling to work with other leaders of the PTI. “I am leaving and will make a comeback if Imran Khan calls me,” he said.
