Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday met with Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and has accepted the summary to form a Joint Interrogation Team (JIT) on Nazim Jokhio’s Murder, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PM Khan decided to form the JIT, after obtaining reports from Governor Ismail.
Governor Ismail informed PM Khan about the pressure on the victim's family and of concealing the details on the murder case.
Ismail briefed PM Khan that, both the MPAs belongs to the Sindh Government and they are creating obstacles to sabotage the case.
Ismail requested PM Khan to form a JIT at the Federal level for making it possible for trained officers of the institutions, to carry on a transparent investigation on the case.
The JIT will reveal the real facts and restore the heirs' confidence back in the rule of law.
On the direction of PM Khan, the decision of forming JTI is accepted to be notified soon, according to the sources.
On the other side, as per the postmortem reports, there were marks of torture on the body of Nazim Jokhio’s. The worst marks were found on his back and elbows. Both hands of the victim were tortured brutally. The head of the victim was also injured, which resulted in brain’s blood clotting of Nazim.
The Sindh Bar Council (SBC) has written a letter to Inspector General (IG) Sindh, Malir’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and Investigative Officer in the murder case of young Nazim Jokhio, who was murdered for stopping foreigners from hunting. Chairman of the Legal and Human Rights Committee, Lawyer Hussain Bakhsh Sario, demanded that the case should be investigated in accordance with Nazim Jokhio's video statement.
