Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf has appealed to Indian authorities to grant visas to Pakistani journalists and cricket enthusiasts who want to attend the ICC World Cup 2023, reported by 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Sources indicate that Ashraf engaged in a detailed discussion on the matter with Foreign Secretary Cyrus Sajjad Qazi concerning the issuance of Indian visas for the World Cup attendees.

Chairman Zaka Ashraf requested Foreign Secretary Qazi to convey Pakistan's concerns to the Indian Ministry of Interior through the Pakistani High Commissioner in India.

He emphasized that, as the host nation of the World Cup, the Indian cricket board should facilitate the issuance of visas to Pakistani cricket fans and journalists.

In view of the security concerns in India, he also requested to increase the security measures for the Pakistani cricket squad in India.
