Sonya Hussyn is sick of the ‘Ertugrul’ debate

Last October, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan suggested that his countrymen watch a historic action thriller, Drilis: Ertugrul (Resurrection: Ertugrul).
Aired on Netflix, this Turkish drama series claims international viewership. The Ertugrul craze reached unimaginable heights in Pakistan.
Several Pakistani actors gave their two cents on the ongoing debate of brands endorsing Turkish actors in their ads.
Television actor Yasir Hussain posted in a recent Instagram story featuring pictures of the two Pakistani individuals who share an enormous resemblance to the Diriliş: actors from Ertuğrul. The tweet called them the 'Turgut Pakistani and Ertuğrul Pakistani.'
In response to the tweet, Hussain expressed how their Turkish counterparts could never attain the same value. “Inko koi nahi poochyga (no one will pay heed to them),” he wrote. “Kyunke ghar ki murgi daal barabar or bahar ka kachra bhi maal barabar (Because home-cooked chicken is equivalent to lentils while international garbage is still worth cashing in),” added the celebrity.
However, actress Sonya Hussayn has come forward and said that we should now stop this debate and move on.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “Sick of this Ertugrul debate, learn to appreciate and not to degrade. Be kind, have grace and speak love.”
