The Standing Committee on Federal Education and Vocational Training has asked the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to conduct a new demarcation of the land of Quaid-e-Azam University.
The Ministry of Education on the recommendations of the Standing Committee on University Land wrote a letter in this regard. The Committee directed the administration of Quaid-e-Azam University that the payment of property tax to CDA put in abeyance till the time fresh on-ground demarcation is conducted and complete land is handed over to the University. The Committee directed the Administration of Quaid-e-Azam University to frame the Terms of Reference for the University land issues so that it can be implemented and the said issues can be resolved.
The letter said that the CDA should demarcate the land of the university in two months.
The joint action committee of Quaid-e-Azam University welcomed the directions of the Standing Committee and expressed that the relevant departments would take practical steps in this regard.
