In view of possible incident of terrorism in Lahore, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Punjab, in two separate operations on Saturday, arrested two terrorists belonging to a banned outfit, Daesh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In an operation in Rawalpindi, the Force arrested a senior commander of Daesh named Isa.
In yet another operation, the CTD arrested a militant named Zakir in Gujranwala.
Confirming the arrests, Additional IG CTD said that explosives, detonators, cellphones and cash had also been recovered from the militants.
He informed that cases had been registered against the militants and investigation was underway.
Giving further details, the official said that 52 suspected persons were taken into custody in 369 combing operations carried out in different parts of Punjab only this week, while 13, 871 others were questioned.
