Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Sunday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder was looking to seek NRO for himself.
Talking to media, Ahsan Iqbal said, “The PTI founder is seeking help from US congress and sometime from the House of Lords in Britain.
“The PTI founder had sought receipts from others but he himself was not showing his receipts,” Iqbal said.
He maintained: “Now the PTI founder is talking about the system. When he made bogus cases against us, we faced all of them in the courts. We proved our innocence, and the courts had quashed all the cases against us.”
“The PTI founder is facing serious charges against him. He had been involved in a £190 million corruption case,” Iqbal stated.
The minister was of the view that the PTI founder was given the foreign funding to spread unrest in the country. “The purpose of foreign funding to the PTI founder was to harm the country’s economy,” he said.
"No, there is no doubt about that on whose orders the PTI founder launched the campaign against the state institutions,” Ahsan Iqbal added.
