In Pakistan watching Diriliş: Ertuğrul has now become a popular family activity. The show’s high production value and portrayal of traditional Islamic values have made it a phenomenal worldwide hit.
Peshawar Zalmi’s Chairman Javed Afridi has also hinted at hiring Ertugrul as the next brand ambassador for Peshawar Zalmi.
In a tweet, he asked, “What If #ErtugrulGhazi joins Peshawar Zalmi as a brand ambassador.” His tweet intrigued his followers and got a great reaction on twitter.

Many fans appreciated the idea of Afridi and suggested Engin Altan Duzyatan become the brand ambassador of Peshawar Zalmi.
They even suggested roping in other Dirilis Ertugurl actors like Esra Bilgic-Halime Sultan, Cengiz Coskun-Turgut Alp in the next edition of Pakistan Super League.
Pakistan's TV industry is popular, but it isn't particularly known for its focus on Islamic values - though it has produced shows like Alif in this genre.
Pakistani producers are feeling threatened by the Turkish series, and many people, including Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry, fear that foreign imports will ultimately harm the local entertainment industry.
But amid the raging debate, many people believe Ertugrul will inspire Pakistan to make better productions at home.
