Face masks are mandatory at public places: Dr Zafar Mirza

Face masks have been made mandatory as Ministry of National Health Services has issued protective guidelines regarding Corona pandemic.

As per the official tweets of Dr.Zafar Mirza, facemasks are now mandatory to be worn by everybody while in crowded public places, mosques, bazaars, shopping malls, public transport i.e .road, rail and flights.

Moreover, Dr Zafar Mirza also stated that N95 mask is a specialized mask that should be only for frontline health workers who are taking care of critically ill COVID-19 patients in ICUs and HDUs so the general public should use any surgical, medical or even homemade cloth mask.

The Ministry of National Health Services has also issued detailed an easy to implement tutorial for sewing facemasks in home.  These developments have occurred due to the recent meeting of NCOC which strongly emphasised on living with Corona.

It is pertinent to mention that since Eid ul Fitr, the number of Corona cases have started to increase rapidly. Just in the last 24 hours, 2964 new cases have been reported taking the total tally of cases above 72000 with over 1500 deaths including 60 deaths in last 24 hours.
