NDMA sends 1000-ton relief consignment to Syria, Turkiye

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched the first shipment through Naval Ship NASR from Karachi to quake-hit areas of Syria and Turkiye, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Faisal Subzwari, Turkish Consul General Jamal Sangu and Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Faisal Abbasi graced the departure ceremony of the Ship. 

This 1000-ton cargo of relief consignment contains large family-sized winterized tents and blankets as per current need of quake affectees in Turkey whereas generators, dry rations, medicines and clothing for the victims in Syria. The ship carrying 1000 tonnes of assistance goods for the two countries has departed today and would reach the destination within 14 days. 

Faisal Subzwari expressed his sincere condolences for loss of precious lives due to huge earthquake in both countries and assured of every possible help from Government and the people of Pakistan.
