Govt jacks up petrol price against market trend

Against the market expectations, the federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs1.35 per litre for the next fortnight, ending on November 15.

The price of one litre petrol increased from Rs247.03 to Rs248.48.

Similarly, the government announced an increase in diesel price by Rs3.85 per litre. The new price of one litre diesel will be Rs255.14 from Rs251.29.

However, the government decreased the price of Kerosene Oil and light diesel.

The price of Kerosene Oil went down by Rs1.48 to reach Rs161.54 per litre from Rs163.02.

Similarly, the price of light diesel decreased by Rs2.61 to reach Rs147.51 per litre from Rs150.12.
