April 10, 2023 08:23 PM

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said the government is committed to eliminating terrorists hiding in the Kacha area at all costs, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

He was presiding over a meeting in which the ongoing operation against terrorists in the Kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan was reviewed.

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) submitted a report in the meeting in which it was revealed that terrorist elements were hiding in the Kacha area.

The CTD found solid shreds of evidence about the presence of terrorist organizations and anti-national elements besides their foreign links in Kacha.

The meeting was told that a joint operation by police of Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab provinces was underway for the first time against terrorists in the Kacha area.

It was decided in the meeting that permanent infrastructure will be established by destroying the hideouts of terrorists. In all cases, the writ of the state shall be established.

Mohsin Naqvi said that more than 11 thousand personnel of the Punjab Police will participate in the operation.

He said that facilitators of terrorists will also be brought under the law.

Chief Minister issued directions to send mobile hospitals and ambulances to the Kacha area.

“A comprehensive plan has been prepared to build bridges, roads, and checkpoints in the area,” he added.

Mohsin also expressed gratitude to Pakistan Army for providing modern weapons and technology for the operation.

He appreciated Rahim Yar Khan police for the safe recovery of the two children who were abducted from Khanpur.

Punjab Chief Secretary, Punjab Inspector General of Police, Additional Chief Secretary Interior, Joint DG Intelligence Bureau, CTD, Special Branch, and other concerned officials participated in the meeting.
