The Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday allowed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to become a party in the case of ban on airing the speeches of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
LHC judge Justice Shahid Karim heard the miscellaneous petition of Imran Khan to become a party in the case.
The court also sought a response from Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on the miscellaneous plea of Imran Khan.
“The case of ban on airing Nawaz Sharif’s speeches is under-hearing in the court. [But] Nawaz Sharif’s speeches are being broadcasted while those of Imran Khan are not being aired,” it had been stated in the petition.
