Singer and actor Ali Zafar has pledged to support kickboxer Agha Kaleem, who recently shared a video on Twitter showing himself making rotis (flatbreads) at a small roadside restaurant.
Kaleem won multiple national and international titles but is struggling to make ends meet. In his tweet, Kaleem had requested support and recognition for his achievements as a kickboxer.
Zafar, who has also acted in many films, replied to Kaleem's tweet saying, "We must value our national heroes, especially those who've brought us international pride, and never abandon them. The sports mafias that hold back such talent should be eradicated. I will support him financially."
He also encouraged Kaleem to return to the ring and fight again, and offered to train with him for his next movie.
Kaleem, who hails from Lahore, has won multiple national and international titles in kickboxing, including the Pakistan National Kickboxing Championship and the South Asian Kickboxing Championship. However, he has struggled to find financial support and recognition for his achievements, and has been working at a small restaurant to make ends meet.
Zafar's support has been welcomed by many on social media, who have praised him for his commitment to supporting national heroes and eradicating sports mafias.
