Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Directorate of Immigration and Passports in Islamabad where he chaired an important meeting on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Chairing the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi directed to complete all legal matters and new guidelines for obtaining a passport as soon as possible.
The minister said the new conditions will prevent beggars and illegal immigration and 100 percent implementation of the directives to block the passports of deported persons should be ensured.
Talking on the occasion, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said that this decision will send a positive message to the international community.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected the newly installed six MRP and two e-passport machines.
Mohsin Naqvi also met with the German team that came to Pakistan for the installation of the machines.
He said that the new machines will increase the capacity of the passport office and issue passports quickly.
