Punjab govt stations mobile vaccination teams at mourn gathering spots

Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department stationed mobile vaccination teams at the entrance gates of the major mourn-meetings and processions in Punjab.
The department had issued instructions to all concerned Chief Executive Officers to monitor the arrangements to facilitate the mourners with the anti-corona vaccination.
The Secretary for Health Sara Aslam said that the department would always take the best measures for the health of its citizens to prevent the spread of Corona virus.
The secretary said vaccines were available in large quantities at all centres, so participants of rallies and processions were urged to complete coronavirus vaccination for all citizens over the age of 18 as soon as possible before attending gatherings.
She said, mourners should protect themselves by taking special precautions against Corona maintaining social distance in gatherings and processions and wear a mask.
On the other hand, the Department of Specialized Healthcare had issued an alert to all hospitals and cancelled holidays of the doctors and other staff on Muharram 9th and 10th.
The department also confirmed availability of additional beds and medicines in public hospitals on 9th and 10th Muharram.
