Former National Assembly speaker and senior PTI leader Asad Qaiser has filed a petition in Peshawar High Court challenging the FIA notice in the prohibited funding case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PTI leader on Wednesday submitted a petition in the Peshawar High Court against the call-up notice sent to him by the Federal Investigation Agency in connection with investigation into the prohibited funding case.

Talking to media outside the court, the former NA speaker said that he did not come there to seek his pre-arrest bail rather he came down there to submit a petition against the FIA notice.

Qaiser asserted that his account was not illegal but the party opened it for the salaries of its employees and office expenditures. He went on to say that from this account, a transaction of only Rs2.1 million was done in six years. All the transactions including withdrawing and depositing funds were done through bank cheques.

The PTI leader said that the FIA had no jurisdiction to hold an inquiry into this case, adding that he hoped that he would get justice from the court. He said that the party was going through a process of movement.

Qaiser also demanded an action against the PML-N and Maulana Fazlur Rehman for using derogatory language against the Army. He said that he condemned all those people who talked against the Pakistan Army. But he lamented the arrest of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill saying that it was wrong to arrest hm.

He said that the PTI was starting its Azadi (independence) Movement from Lahore on Aug 14. He predicted that Imran Khan was the future prime minister of Pakistan.
