The federal government on Wednesday decided to challenge the interim bails granted to Chaudhry Moonis Elahi, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader and son of Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, and Muhammad Khan Bhatti, former Punjab Assembly (PA) secretary, in Rs24billion worth money laundering case, in the Lahore High Court (LHC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told 24News that the government would challenge Lahore’s banking court’s July 23, 2022 verdict under which both Moonis and Bhatti had been granted bails.
