Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has promised two million houses for the poor in the Sindh province.
“I promise that I will build 2 million houses for the poor in Sindh,” he said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday.
He felt strong concerns for the flood-hit people and shed light on the PPP efforts to provide the calamity-stricken people with relief. The United Nations secretary general visited Pakistan and met the flood victims, he said.
The foreign minister listed his ministry's feats in improving Pakistan’s ties with the world. He said when he took over the ministry, Pakistan was facing challenges and Pak-China relations were plagued.
Pakistan was on the FATF greylist, he said, adding that the coalition government’s efforts bore fruit and Pakistan’s name was removed from it.
Bilawal Bhutto praised Hina Rabbani Khar’s contribution to removing Pakistan from the greylist.
He said the Pakistan-US bilateral relations have improved significantly. China, Saudi Arabia, and UAE gave full support in difficult times, he said, adding that the CPEC has been revised too.
Bilawal Bhutto also mentioned his ministry’s endeavours for unity among the Ummah and efforts to present the true picture of Islam.
He said he raised his voice against Islamophobia on every international forum.
He also shed light on his ministry’s efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue and the plight of the Kashmiris fighting for their just right to self-determination.
He said he raised his voice against the Modi regime’s atrocities and he renewed his resolve to continue backing Kashmiris struggling for their just right.
He said he was ready to play a role in providing facilities to Afghans. In his message on the anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) yesterday, the FM said Pakistan desired a strong and successful Southeast Asia, which was critical for the stability and development of the entire continent.
“The more connected and united we are, the more able we would be in overcoming our collective challenges and prospering together as a region.
“We believe that an integrated Asia promises a prosperous future for all. Pakistan has, therefore, endeavoured to develop partnerships all across the continent -- particularly with ASEAN countries.”
