MQM-Pakistan Restoration Committee chief Farooq Sattar has formed his own panel "Azad Pakistan Panel" for the workers of Karachi and Hyderabad to contest the Local Bodies elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.
The move came after the differences between Farooq Sattar and MQM Pakistan could not be resolved.
The workers and officials associated with the Restoration Committee will compete with the MQM candidates in the local body elections from the platform of the Azad Pakistan Panel.
Farooq Sattar said 75 candidates from Karachi have been finalized for the Azad Pakistan panel.
He said 30 candidates will contest from Hyderabad in local body elections from the platform of Azad Pakistan Panel.
He said all political parties need to unite for the development of Karachi.
“If given an opportunity, this panel will play its full role in the construction and development of Karachi,” concluded Sattar.
