FIA Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar and a security agency Saturday held an accused involved in hundi hawala practice in a joint operation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Acting on the instructions of Deputy Director Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar Afzal Khan Niazi, FIA Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar conducted the operation and arrested accused Musiullah from the Chowk Yadgar area of Peshawar.

The arrested accused belongs to Afghanistan. During the operation, Pakistani, Afghani and foreign currencies in huge amounts were recovered from the vehicle of the accused along with a mobile phone and hundi hawala receipts.

The accused failed to justify holding the recovered currency. A case has been registered against the accused.
