Big news for the IT geeks in Pakistan as Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced that from now on the Pakistani creators on Facebook can earn money of their content through new stars feature of the social media platform, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Foreign Minister Bilawal who was in Singapore visited Meta (Facebook) Asia-Pacific HQ in Singapore yesterday and met with its team. Highlighting the achievements and huge potential of the IT sector in the country, Bilawal expressed keen desire for enhanced cooperation between Meta and Pakistan.
Taking to his Twitter handle today (Saturday), Foreign Minister Bilawal wrote: “Big news for Pakistan from Meta in Singapore. From now on Pakistani creators on Facebook can earn money of their content through new Facebook stars feature. Thrilled to be the first Pakistan official to visit Meta & get to share this news with you. Thanks team meta for inviting me.”

He said Pakistan is the fifth most populated country in the world. The number of Pakistanis is much greater than the number of people using Meta platform. He said everyday 2 billion use Meta platform. We want that Pakistanis too should get benefit from the Meta platform. He said he is thrilled that Meta is hosting him and it is financing in Pakistan and providing opportunities not only to youth but women as well.
