Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has asked the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf to stop making false propaganda that the country is going to default, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media in Lahore on Saturday, the interior minister rejected the PTI propaganda that country was heading towards default.

He said that the PTI leadership was hell bent upon destroying the country for securing its politics.

He goaded PTI Chief Imran Khan on the matter of dissolution of assemblies daring him to dissolve them as the PML-N was ready to contest elections.

He said that the party had requested PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif to lead the election campaign.

“This time we will make our government in Punjab after getting majority,” he said confidently.

Sanaullah reiterated that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was ready to hold unconditional talks with opposition. He said that President Dr Arif Alvi was trying to facilitate the talks.

The interior minister said that the Daily Mail apologized to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on publishing a false story against him. He asked the former rulers that they should also tender their apology for getting a false story published in the UK newspaper.

On cases against PTI leaders Shahbaz Gill and Senator Azam Swati, Sanaullah said that Gill tried to create hatred in the ranks of Army and Swati too targeted military and judiciary.

Sanaullah said he was implicated in a false case, adding that politically-motivated cases should be abolished.

On Imran Khan’s putative daughter Tyrian White, he said there was proof that she was Imran’s daughter.

Sanaullah files plea, seeks acquittal in drug case

Earlier, the interior minister also filed a petition in a special narcotics court seeking acquittal in a drug case registered against him by the Anti-Narcotics Force in 2019.

Sanaullah appeared before the court and submitted his plea. He told the court that the case against him was politically-motivated and the prosecution team could not bring any evidence against him.

He requested the court to acquit him in the case.
