Alert for those travelling between Makkah and Jeddah, the number of opened lanes has been reduced due to repair work on the highway, which has reduced the speed and flow on the highway.

The repair work has begun on Makkah Gate on the highway.

The Makkah Municipality has said that the tracks of the highway will be reduced due to the repairwork of the monument.

The repair work will take place between 7am and 3pm from Saturday to Tuesday.

The Makkah Municipality has advised the passengers travelling from Makkah to Jeddah and from Jeddah to Makkah to be careful at the said location.

The municipality has said that for the safety of the passengers, Road Security Force personnel will be present at the said location who will regulate the traffic.
