A dacoit was killed in an alleged encounter with police in Harbanspura area of Lahore on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Identified as Chappa Pathan, the suspect was shot dead in the shootout in Kotla Pir Abdul Rehman locality of Harbanspura. 

According to police, slain Chappa Pathan was wanted by the police in a number of murder and robbery cases. 

His body was removed to a hospital for post-mortem, and further investigation was unde way.
