Pakistan secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the Junior Hockey World Cup after a 1-1 draw with Belgium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The thrilling match saw both teams score in the first half, with Jack Vloeberghs opening the account for Belgium in the third minute on a penalty corner and Arbaaz Ahmed equalizing for Pakistan from a penalty corner in the 42nd minute.
Neither team could find the winner, despite creating several chances.
Pakistan will face Spain in the quarter-final on December 12.
The Pakistani team is coached by Roland Oltmans and managed by Lt. Col. R. Asif Naz Khokhar, with Olympian Shakeel Abbasi, international Muhammad Ali, international Muhammad Asif Khan, physiotherapist Muhammad Aslam and video analyst Nadeem Lodhi as part of the coaching panel.
