Father of the woman, who died allegedly due to torture by her husband and mother-in-law in Korangi area of Karachi, said on Sunday that his daughter was under great mental stress because of being issueless, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He alleged that her husband and mother-in-law used to beat her up.  

He went on to say that he loved his daughter very much. “I would often purchase new clothes and fruits for her,” he reminisced.

“As I was heading to her home to meet her, I learnt that she was admitted at Jinnah Hospital,” he said, adding, “And when I reached the hospital, I saw her dead body.”

He informed that his daughter was merely 19 or 20 years old, and that he had married her off seven months ago. “Last night when I had a chat with her on cellphone, she was alright,” he said, adding, “When today in the morning I called her, her cellphone was switched off. And her in-laws did not reply either.”

He said his daughter would always complain of torture by her husband and her mother-in-law. “Therefore, I have a suspicion that my child died due to torture by her in-laws,” he said.
