A federal minister said on a talk show that Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav has left the country, Senator Mushahidullah Khan of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) told the Senate on Monday.
“Now I think he might really have left. If he is still here, he should be shown to people,” Mushahidullah said in his speech in the Senate.
Amid reports that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) former spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan has escaped from a prison in Pakistan, Mushahidullah said he is a murderer and asked: “How did he flee and where is he?” He said the government must brief the House about this issue.
Criticising the government’s decision to convert former finance minister Ishaq Dar’s Lahore residence into a shelter home for the homeless people, Mushahidullah said that Dar did a great service to the country. He said that Dar has been implicated in a case and he is being maligned along with his children. He said that apparently Dar was being asked to come back, but in fact he was not being allowed to return home from London. He said that first household items were stolen from Dar’s house and then it was converted into a shelter home. He said that Dar was being victimised.
Mushahidullah said that former military ruler Pervez Musharraf is also a proclaimed offender, but nobody dared to convert his palace-like homes in Karachi and Islamabad into shelter homes. He said the government must clarify why it occupied Dar’s house. He said that half of the government’s ministers are proclaimed offenders therefore their houses should be converted into shelter homes. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence should be converted into a shelter home.
The PML-N leader said the fire the government has ignited shows that rulers’ days have been numbered. He said that PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz should be allowed to visit her ailing father who is undergoing treatment in London. He said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is a patient and he should be free to go wherever he wants to for his treatment. He said the government was well aware of the reasons for the sugar and flour crises.
