PML-Q supremo Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Thursday said that the government should reconsider putting taxes on key items like formula milk, lifesaving medicines, pulses used by the poor man, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The businessmen and shopkeepers increased the prices and blamed it on General Sales Tax (GST), the PML-Q chief said.

In a statement, Chaudhary Shujaat said that the salaried class cannot increase their salaries on their own.

Shujaat urged the government to show care for the salaried class. The PML-Q leader appealed to all heads of the political parties to introduce public welfare projects.

He asked the government to take practical measures to provide public relief.
