Korean Ambassador in Pakistan Mr Suh Sangpyo Thursday called on Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi.
The current situation in the region, including issues of mutual interest was discussed during the meeting. The Korean Ambassador inquired about the well-being of Ch Shujat Hussain and wished him well.
Moonis Elahi said that there are deep friendly relations between Pakistan and Korea which are highly valued by Pakistan. There are many aspects of political, economic, scientific, defence and public cooperation between Pakistan and Korea.
The Pakistani people have a lot of respect for Korea and are earning respectable livelihood there. He said that Korea’s rapid economic growth is a model for us, over the years Korean companies have increased their shares in the Pakistani market.
Moonis Elahi further said that Pakistan is keen to further expand trade and investment relations with Korea, Korea should further assist Pakistan in the water sector so that we can benefit from their vast experience.
Korean Ambassador Mr Suh Sangpyo said that relations between Pakistan and Korea have always been positive, Korean hydropower companies are working on various projects in Pakistan. #
