Martyred journalist Arshad Sharif’s wife Javeria Siddique Thursday filed an application with Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime over character assassination on social media, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Arshad Sharif’s wife stated that she completed her Iddat fulfilling all the legal and religious requirements after the martyrdom of her husband.

However, some people on social media are assassinating her character and throwing dirt at her name.

She said that some people are doing properly planned propaganda against her and are spreading rumours about her and her deceased husband.

She quoted that offensive and indecent things are being said about her on Twitter.

Javeria Siddique provided FIA with the details of Twitter accounts harassing her.

It may be mentioned that an organised campaign has been launched on Twitter targeting the widow of slain journalist Arshad Shareef and rumours were being spread that she had secretly tied the knot with former Karachi governor and PTI leader Imran Ismael.

A day earlier, she also took to social media to condemn the rumours spreaders while regreeting that they killed her husband with bullet and now they will kill her through character assassination.
