An earthquake of moderate intensity has jolted the Swat Valley and its adjoining areas on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The earthquake was measured 4.4 on the Richter Scale.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake struck at a depth of 203 kilometres while its epicentre was located near the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
There were no reports of any casualties or damage but still the temor caused panic among the local people and rushed out of their homes.
