Punjab CM Naqvi inaugurates Lahore’s biggest food festival

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi on Friday inaugurated Lahore’s biggest food expo at Expo Centre in Lahore, which was organized by Punjab Food Authority (PFA), reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The first day of the food expo was extremely packed because a large number of Lahorites thronged the venue.

CM Naqvi inspected various stalls set up at the Food Expo and also expressed his profound interest in the items at the Punjab Small Industries Corporation's handicraft stall.

On this occasion, he lauded the efforts of PFA, saying that PFA has organized the food expo in the best possible way. “The expo will further boost the local and international culinary business, while also giving the populace a break from their monotonous routines and a chance to enjoy the entertainment options available here,” he continued. 

DG Punjab Food Authority briefed the CM about Food Expo while ambassador of Korea, Provincial Minister of Construction and Communications and Food Bilal Afzal, Provincial Minister of Information and Culture Aamir Mir, Chief Executive Officer of Lahore Qalandar Atif Rana, renowned industrialist Sheikh Irfan Iqbal, Secretary Food, CCPO Lahore, Commissioner Lahore Division, Deputy Commissioner Lahore and other officials were also present on the occasion. 

It is to note that the food expo will feature musical concerts and puppet shows for children, additionally, a mushaira will also be held for those who have a taste for Urdu literature. 

77 stalls have been set up in connection with the food expo where the heads of national and foreign companies will participate in the food conference. 

From 6 to 10 p.m., the famous Pakistani singers Ali Zafar Aima Baig, Farhan Saeed, Shay Gill, and Natasha Baig will entertain the audience with their mesmerizing vocals during the vibrant musical evening.
