The flight operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport was affected again on Tuesday due to thick fog, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the airport sources, the visibility limit reduced to 50 meters on the runway which caused several domestic and international flights to be cancelled and delayed.
A Doha-bound flight QR621 was cancelled.
A Muscat-bound PIA flight PK229 was cancelled.
A Karachi-bound flight PA405 was cancelled.
A Lahore-bound flight PA406 from Karachi was cancelled.
A Lahore-bound flight SV738 from Jeddah was cancelled.
A Karachi-bound flight PK307 was cancelled.
An Istanbul-bound flight PK707 was decided to be operated from Islamabad.
A Dubai-bound PIA flight PK203 from Lahore was decided to be operated from Islamabad.
A Lahore-bound PIA flight PK204 from Dubai was decided to be operated from Islamabad.
A Lahore-bound flight PA471 from Jeddah was delayed for seven hours and 15 minutes.
A Lahore-bound flight PA431 to Abu Dhabi was delayed for nine and a half hours.
Several flights rescheduled at Karachi Airport
Several incoming and outgoing flights of Pakistan Airlines (PIA), AirSial and AirBlue were rescheduled at Karachi Airport, reported 24NewSHD TV channel on Tuesday.
AirSial’s flight bound for Islamabad was rescheduled by the airport authorities.
Outgoing flight PK-302 departed at 11 am instead of 9 am.
Flight PF-123 will now depart at 3 pm instead of 1 pm.
The timing of the outgoing National Airline's flights to Lahore were also changed.
Flight PK-304 will now fly at 4:30 pm instead of 2 pm, meanwhile Serene Air's flight to Islamabad will also depart late.
Flight ER-504 will now fly at 10 pm instead of 6:30 pm.
Similarly, the incoming flights were also rescheduled.
AirSial’s flight from Lahore will be arriving at 1:30 pm instead of 11:45 am.
AirBlue’s flight from Islamabad will now land at 1:50 pm instead of 12:30 pm.
Lastly, PIA’s incoming flight from Lahore will arrive at 3:30 pm instead of 1:45pm.
