Salman Chaudhry has been appointed as Inspector General of Pakistan National Highways and Motorway Police, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Before his posting as IG, NHMP,  Salman Chaudhry, an officer of Police Service Grade 21, was  serving in Balochistan government as DIG.  

According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division Islamabad on Wednesday, Salman will take charge on January 14.

Salman Chaudhry's appointment is under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973.
