Kohala, Azad Pattan power projects to attract 4b investment: Asim Bajwa

Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority (CPECA) Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that Kohala Power and Azad Pattan Power projects will attract $4 billion investment and will create 8,000 job opportunities.
In a tweet on Friday, Asim Bajwa said Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan and chief executive officers (CEOs) of China’s Three Gorges and China Gezhouba called on him at his office separately to thank CPEC Authority for helping realize Kohala Power and Azad Pattan Power projects.
They also sought further coordination from the CPEC Authority chairman over the projects.

According to Asim Saleem Bajwa, both the power projects will attract $4 billion investment and will generate 1,800MW cheaper hydel electricity. The projects also poised to create as many as 8,000 job opportunities, Asim Bajwa added.
