Zil Hajj moon not sighted in Punjab

The Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Punjab did not receive any witness for the sighting Zil Hajj crescent, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the TV channel, the crescent for the Zil Hajj could have been seen in Lahore till 7:46, however, Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee including DG Auqaf Dr Tahir Bokhari, Allama Hussain Akbar, Maulana Qazi Tajweeduddin, Allama Afzal Haideri, Allama Ishaq, Mufti Imran and others did not receive any report of the crescent sighting.

The committee said it remained in contact with Sargodha, Johraabad, Khushab, Rahim Yar Khan and other cities and whatever information they received from there, they have submitted that to the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee which is holding a meeting in Karachi.

DG Auqaf urged the masses t strictly follow the SOPs during the Eid days and said they are also awaiting the final decision from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
